Happy 3 months to me!

Look, I'm 3 months today! My time flies when you are growing and learning new things daily! Mom is enjoying a little longer maternity leave at home with me. Hudson started pre-k so I loved being spoiled with some mommy and me time. Check out all the new adventures I'm learning to do...

Henley's Room

Okay slowly and a few more finishing touches and baby Henley's room will be complete. This time mom and dad wanted a surprise so since they didn't find out what they were having my room was put together after I arrived. Mom wanted a gender room and not a neutral room. We are looking for a few more wall hangings, but I enjoy all the colors in my new room!

Spectrum Station

Pre-K here I come! As the school year starts, I am starting a new adventure as well. I am entering the world of pre-k. This year I will start attending Spectrum Station School. I am very excited to learn and grow this year. I know this has been hard on mom and dad to see me grow up! I was a little nervous, but once I saw my room and met my teacher, Mrs. Diana I was ready to go. Not one tear and I wasn't even sad to say goodbye.

Today we headed out to Paradise Park for one last summer adventure with some friends. This is an annual play date with mom's teacher friends. I always have a BLAST here. My favorite spot is the grocery store.

2 months old

Happy 2 months old to me! I am starting to laugh and giggle. I smile BIG when my big bro talks to me. I'm learning to track objects and coo. My hands and fist are very yummy these days! That's about it for now, better go I've got important things to do!

Happy birthday to my bud, Kohen. He is 5 and I helped him celebrate his day at the bowling alley. This was my first time to go bowling and boy was it fun! Pizza, bowling and video games, who could ask for more. Happy 5th Kohen!

Baby Henley is growing fast and each day is something new. She is starting to smile and even some laughing. Hudson loves his little sister so much and it has been a blessing to watch him interact with her. He loves to kiss her and make her laugh.

July 4th

Happy birthday America! We spent July 4th weekend in Iowa with nana, papa and aunt Abby. We went to a parade, played miniature golf, ate lots of ice cream, shopped and watched fireworks. Mom, dad and Henley left Tuesday morning to head back to KC. I stayed a little longer with nana and papa.

Happy Father's Day

Henley and I have have the best daddy in the world! We enjoyed a fun weekend together with our dad. We went to Zona Rosa for some fun shopping on Saturday. Dad picked out some of his favorite things at DICK's Sporting Goods. We had a nice dinner and ice cream for dessert. Sunday we went to church and enjoyed a yummy brunch out. Happy Father's Day!

Big Bro & Lil Sis

I love being a BIG brother and taking care of my new sister. I'm great on diaper duty, well just throwing them away. Henley goes through lots of diapers in a day. I have been helping mom burp baby Henley and playing with her on the floor is always fun too. I call her "sweetheart" and "cutie pie". I look forward to the many memories I will make with my baby sister!

#2 arrives

It's a girl! Today the Herriman family grew by 2 more feet. I became a BIG brother to a sweet baby sister, Henley Jo! Let me break the entire day down for you. Mom went to her doctor's appointment on the 20th of May and she had began to progress further along. The doc wanted to see her again on Monday morning to check her and discuss options. Monday morning arrives and mom is moving right along again. She wanted a certain doctor, Ward Olhausen, to deliver #2. He was on call for the next 2 night, so the decision was made to schedule an induction for later that evening, the 23rd. Mom went about her day at school, which was her last day to spend with her class for the year. As mom came home to pack and gather things her water broke! Mom and dad quickly shuffled things in the car and were off to the hospital. Mom was excited to have the experience of "going on her own", since the induction medicine made her so sick last time. It was a pretty mild evening with off and on contractions. At midnight mom received her epidural and then progressed even more and by 3:00 a.m. it was time for the doctor to come in. Mom pushed for about 30 minutes and baby Henley arrived at 4:07 a.m. She was 9.6 and 19 1/2 inches. We are so blessed to have a sweet baby girl join on family!

Tiger T-Ball

It's time for t-ball and that means getting together with my t-ball friends from last year. Can't wait. I'm playing on a new team, but some of my "old" buddies are joining the team with me. The Herriman family are huge Jayhawk fans so this will be hard to wear tiger colors. I like it, but don't tell my dad. Practice has already started and we are getting ready for our first game.

Big Bro Class

#2 is coming soon so I need to brush up on my BIG brother skills. Mom signed me up for a class at the hospital so I would know what to expect when the baby arrives and my responsibilities as a brother. I learned how to hold the baby and certain things that only a brother can do. I saw the room my mom will stay in and the nursery where the baby sleeps. I ate a yummy snack and watched a video about being a sibling. My favorite part was painting a super cute onesie for my brother or sister....only 6 more weeks!

For my 4th birthday Mimi gave me money for a new big boy bike. Check it out...I picked it out all by myself!

Hud's 4th Batman Birthday Party

It's a plane, a bird, no it's....Hudman! Today Hudson had his 4th birthday party. He is obsessed with BATMAN, so what a better theme! We decided to wait and have his party 2 weeks after his real birthday so we could have warmer weather. Hudson and his friends enjoyed bouncing around on his new trampoline (thanks Nana, Papa and Aunt Abby) and jumping around in his bounce house (compliments of Uncle Shawn, Aunt Kim, Cousins: Brady and Jordy). It was a perfect day and fun was had by some of Huds best superhero friends! Thanks friends and family for a wonderful party!

Olive Garden VIP

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! Tonight we decided to go low key on Valentine's Day and spend it together as a family. I wanted to go to The Olive Garden, Mom & Dad agreed and off we went. After a healthy serving of salad, bread sticks, and extra black olives I asked the manager who came to check on our table if I could have an Olive Garden badge like hers. After a short moment she brought me my own Olive Garden button with my name on it. She told me to bring it back when I wanted a job.

#2's first purchase/gift

During our regular Target trip we bought the baby some diapers. This is the first baby purchase mom and dad have made. They have made an agreement to purchase one pack of diapers weekly for #2 and to set aside a monetary amount to use on baby "stuff". Mom also received a KU burp cloth from a student in her class.
